About Us

When I decided to open my own firm, I wanted to focus on the individual, small - medium business, and non-profit sectors of business, and offer them the same advanced level of services large corporations have access to, as well as expert taxation services by a licensed professional - all at reasonable rates.

Since most of my clientele need help in taxes -whether it be tax planning, setting up the right business entity for the best tax benefits, or resolving an issue with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) or local tax authority, I sat for and passed the examination process an earned my EA (Enrolled Agent) license - the only professional license issued & administered by the IRS (aka "getting it from the horse's mouth" when it comes to taxation). - Lisa A. Founder & President

Lisa Brown decided to start her own accounting firm in 2011 as Lisa A Brown & Associates, LLC. In 2014, she incorporated her firm as Brown & Brown Accounting, Inc. (BBA) to signify company growth as well as her nephew Joseph Brown becoming an integral member of the company, to which he will make partner after receiving his CPA designation - BBA is a family owned & operated business.

Ms. Brown earned Associates at Bristol Community College, and her Bachelors of Science in Accounting (BS Accounting) from the University of Massachusetts' Charlton College of Business, and has more than 35 years’ experience in her field, including an extensive amount of time as a senior SQL developer DBA for in-house corporate business software development.
Lisa has a genuine care and understanding of her clients and is available for them anytime they need help. In continuum of her pursuit in knowledge to bring more to the table, Lisa is earning a graduate Certification in Public Management at The University Of Massachusetts - Dartmouth.

Joseph Brown
Staff Accountant

Joseph Brown joined Brown & Brown Accounting in 2012 after graduating from high school, where he was an active participant in the school's robotics team, played varsity level sports, refereed teams throughout all of his high school years, and was involved in student government. Brown graduated with technical honors.

All this experience has paid off, and Joseph brings great value to the firm with his team building experiences and leadership roles.

Brown has earned his Associates in Accounting, and his Bachelors of Science in Accounting at the University of Massachusetts' Charlton College of Business.
